Enterprise Rent A Car

Have you ever rented a car from them?

I rented one there tonight in Phoenix, and I thought I had bought the car, not rented it.

This ‘kid’ in a suit, with a REALLY bad tie, walks me out to the car, shows me how to work EVERYTHING (including the power windows, no lie), then puts the hard sell on me to buy the insurance and the fuel options. I was so disgusted that I had to press hard back at him to let me leave without paying $28.00 a day on a $16.00 a day rental for insurance. Give me a break, dude.

I HATE Enterprise. I’ve had nothing but trouble with them. I use to have to rent from them on occasion when I would drive out of town on business. Because I worked for an insurance company, they woudl see that on the reservation and assume it was an insurance claim–which is charged at a higher rate and with different timings. A total freakin’ mess. And I’ve never gotten the hard sell on insurance from any other company–very annoying.

Had a similar experience with the hard sell for the insurance. I bet those kids get a commision if they push you into the insurance or a bigger car.
