The Greater Kansas City area had a blizzard of the Christmas Holiday – with 12 inches of snow falling over two and a half days… My thoughts on the snow business and some things contractors can do to make a difference for their properties they manage, their clients, and the neighborhood around them….

Nice video Jason… and I love that you helped the church/school “back in the day’ with their landscaping. Having been a PTA pres for a few years, it’s imperative to have folks like you who are willing to care enough to step up to beautify your neighborhood.
What city are you in? Your streets don’t look like they’ve been touched! That would hack me off. And you’re right about the church. It’s nice that the parking lot has been plowed, but what use is it if you can’t even get IN TO it? Bwahahahaha!
Love that you’re a landscape architect! My far off dream job.

I wish this video would be broadcast on the nightly news. The ‘Pay it Forward’ philosophy needs to be adopted by more industries. Jason told the story of the guy shoveling his driveway after getting hit hard with snow on the east coast. A guy plowed his driveway for no charge, but instantly gained networking and future business prospects. On a side note, I was that guy last night, shoveling my driveway after working 12 hours on Christmas, just so I could get my car in the garage. I saw 2 trucks with plow blades drive past and made me think of that story. How it would have made 45 minutes of work vanish in 2 minutes. I wasn’t angry that they didn’t stop, but it really drove the point of the story home.
