I think we’ve all heard the saying “Time is Money” but it’s not quite true. You can usually make more money, but you can’t make more time, so time is worth much more than money!
That being said – here are a few tools I’ve found to make your Social Media world easier, saving you time so you can make more money:
- Hootsuite – Web based SM tool that allows you to coordinate and maintain all of your social media networks, including: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, and more. Very useful, and since it runs in a browser you can use it from pretty much any computer. There’s an iPhone app, too.
-
Tweetdeck – Recently acquired by Twitter, this is a great tool to manage your twitter stream(s). I find it very useful to have keywords popup when they are mentioned in the twittersphere, and autofill makes remembering everyone’s twitter handle that much easier
- FriendOrFollow – A very useful tool to help keep your twitter stream clean. Get rid of the bots you accidently followed, remove accounts of people that haven’t tweeted in months, or unfollow tweople you no longer connect with. The profile map makes it easy to see who’s who, so you can choose to keep following the people you want to engage with
- Klout – I wrote about this a while ago, but the folks at Klout are continuously improving this product. Now you’ve got the
option of assigning +K (more Klout) to the influential people in your Facebook and Twitter world. Keep your eyes on this – it’s going to go pretty big!
- Google Real Time Search – Put whatever topic you want in the search, and find who’s talking about it on Twitter. Like Twitter Trending topics – but you get to choose the topics
Hopefully these tools make your social media life a bit easier to manage, so you can spend more time engaging with the important people in your world.
