No chewing gum in Orlando

I’m a big fan of chewing gum.  In fact, I buy it from Costco by the case.

Well, I didn’t pack any on my trip to Orlando, and figured I’d just pick up a pack at the airport.  No can do.  They don’t freaking sell gum at the airport.  It’s a “maintenance policy” – then I find out with some fancy Google searching, that you can’t buy guy anywhere on Disney Properties – again a “maintenance policy”…  I can understand Disney, but the airport?  What about my poor, unpopped ears?  Gheesh.

SO, I got off the plane in Orlando, and went to my friendly Hudson News store.  I’m on the phone, so I’m walking around looking for the gum – where would you think it was?  Next to the TicTacs, mints, candy bars, bottled water?  I’m going crazy wondering why I can’t find it.  Then I ask the guy.  He tells me the maintenance policy.  Looks like its Starkist mints for me….  Hilarious.  My final question

“How many times a day do you get asked where the gum is?”

“That will be $4.21 for your Diet Coke and mints…”  (With a pissed off, laughing smile….)
