Renee Barrett-Arjune

I wrote a month or so ago about a tribute to the 2,996 that died today as a result of the 9/11 tragedy. Well, Renee Barrett-Arjune, here is your place in the blogosphere.

Renee was 41 years old, from Irvington, NJ. Renee was a compensation accountant for Cantor-Fitzgerald, one of the firms that received a lot of media attention. She worked at the World Trade Center, at Cantor’s office there. One of Renee’s co-workers from the 1990′s, when she worked the NYU School of Business, told of her tenacity when she went part-time to achieve earning her MBA. “I will never forget her wearing her Cap and Gown, and (rightfully proud) letting us know that she finally did it! The MBA was hers!”

Some have written about her faith in Jesus. She attended church in New York City, and many who wrote about her talked of her passion, her desire to help others, in job and in life. It’s apparent she stood with clear independence, and that independence was a piece of her that many admired.

Renee, may God richly bless your family, your friends, and anyone who was ever touched by you.

I’m still horrified by this day.
